I am on so many meds I can’t tell you which cause me to lose weight and which ones cause me to gain weight but I can tell you that I’ve gained 20 pounds in the last 3 years (since my diagnosis at the beginning of Covid). I can’t seem to lose anything. I’ve tried weight watchers and that did nothing for me. Today I restarted MyFitnessPal to see if that will help. I’m hoping maybe some of you can give me some ideas?
Well I'm on alot of med too and I have lost 35 lbs with little exercise . I went on a heart healthy diet I eat turkey chicken , brown rice ,and wild rice I have a huge salad with almonds bacon pieces sunflower seeds and ranch dressing then sometimes I have low calorie frozen meal . When I need a snack I eat wallnuts I must say it works I was 300 lbs for years a d in one month I have lost 35 lbs with no cravings which is very rare for me and it makes a difference
A few months after my RA diagnosis I lost about 80 lbs. I have been slowly gaining it back since 2022, to the point that I have gain about 60 lbs back. This week I am really trying to watch what I eat using the LoseIT! app and walking on the treadmill at the gym. To early to know if it is helping at all, but I've gotta do something to get some of this weight off.
Hi Beth 🤗 of course healthy eating and some exercise are the best ways to lose weight. Like you I’ve put on weight since starting the meds for RA . I talked to my pcp about it and he wrote me a prescription for mounjaro. Just started it yesterday. My daughter in law has lost 30 pounds in 3 months. Hopefully it works as well for me 🙏🏻 I’m willing to try
What types of exercise do you do? My primary doc and I are in the process of trying to figure out why all of a sudden I am having issues walking my dogs more than a mile without getting heaviness in my upper legs and then my lower back hurting.
