I’m currently taking Humeria alongside my methotrexate and still flaring, my rheumatologist wants to change my medication and has given me the choice of Remicade or Simponi, which is better, what are your experiences of each?

I took remicade many years ago and it made me very ill. But my niece is on it and she loves it.

Hi ya. You were on Humira which is a TNF blocker and so is Remicade and Simponi. Unfortunately with these meds one may work well for one person and not the other. Same with Side effects. I have heard a lot of great things about both. I call them two the big guns of the TNF blockers. Lol. Good luck and I hope which ever one, it works great for you!

I don't know which is better. They both work differently for different people I was never on Simponi so can't tell you pros and cons. I was on Remicade for about 10 years and it was wonderful. Taking it with methotrexate gave me my life back.

I took Remicade for 5 months and started having Migrances. Rheumy took me off and I am starting another infusion next week.

I can remember be wheeled into the infusion clinic because the pain was so bad. Then walking out on my own. Loved Remicade then 2 infusion later I have a severe allergic reaction to it. So sad I have not been on a medicine that even comes close to the result Remicade gave me.
