I had first dose on Friday and wondering if I'm allergic to it
I have been on Remicade for almost 14 years! It has really helped me. I
see my rheumatologist and have bloodwork as he orders. It's very important
to have bloodwork and check in with your doctor if you are having surgery,
as you will have to work around your infusion schedule. All-in-all, I'm
happy with my experience. Brenda A.
I am on it. Started November 2023 every 8 weeks. At first, I did not think it helped any but now I can tell about two weeks before the next one that it's time.
My brother used it, too, for many years and loved it. I'm hoping the allergy symptoms I'm having are due to flowers or something and not the drug 😁
I'vet had just the one dose - infusion itself went without a hitch. Symptoms started about 36 hours after, so not sure if even related. Waiting to hear back from my doctor. I'll keep Simponi in mind 'just in case' . Thanks for your input 😉
I was on the generic of Remicade but on my 5th infusion had an allergic reaction like tightness in chest and was so scared .I was premedicated with steroid and Benadryl and stopped the infusion for half hour and continued with a slower drip which took away my side effects. Dr. is changing my Biologic drug to Simponi and waiting to see if that helps. Most of my tendons in my hands wrist forearm and shoulder are inflamed and stiff. Lets see if Simponi works!
