Sandi,
I hope that your week gets better
I use to sit back and think all of this crap is ridiculous. I keep pushing through the chaos. You are like me. I was in charge of my family so to speak. They depended on me.
All you are feeling is overwhelming.
I’m pretty sure that things will calm down after you get settled. Remember to just breathe .
I’m praying for you and your family. RA. Is hard for people to understand. You may need to educate your family. My husband got educated by my rheumatologist after I told my doctor that my husband doesn’t understand the condition. That was the best thing ever. Now when I get tired my husband tells me that it’s break time.

I guess that I have no choice but more surgery. I go back 6/10 I’m pretty sure that he will setup more surgery. I just continue to stay off my foot. I have used the boot 24/7. Without the boot I can’t put weight on the foot. I’m going for my infusion Friday. I go to get the gel injection in my knee joint on the other side on Monday. I talked to my rheumatologist after my last infusion. Since I didn’t have any issues with the last one, I could go ahead as planned.

I suggest that you carve out the time even ten to fifteen minutes to just breathe and relax. You will be surprise how much it helps. I was in the same situation. I kept my granddaughter from birth and she’s now seventeen. I was diagnosed one year before she was born. It was rough and tiring but she kept me going. My husband would help me with her when I needed it. I look back on it now and wonder how I kept up with everything I also had to take care of my mother and stepfather through cancer until they passed. They lived with me until the end. I was burning the candle at both ends. When I became sick I had a lot going on to take care of everything . You are right about time. Don’t try to unpack all in one day. I had to make a schedule to follow. Look around and see what is really needed to be unpacked. I was like you and thought everything needed to be done yesterday. When you are first diagnosed it’s scary because you don’t know what to expect next. Do you have family that can help you? I didn’t have any help caring for my parents until hospice started to help. It was a nightmare the last two years of my stepfather’s life. I was so tired and my siblings would always make excuses not to help. A crockpot and an air fryer were my friends. Now I’m on my 27 th foot surgery. I have spent a lot of time in a motorized wheelchair. I just found out Tuesday that the last surgery did not work. RA has ruined my feet. So please take care of yourself. If you need to vent we are here for you. Try to stay positive. Take care of yourself
Thank you so much Greta. It’s nice to have someone that really understands but after hearing all you’ve faced, I feel like I’m just whining. I’m so sorry that you’ve been through so much & it’s sad your family didn’t step up, mine really hasn’t either. I’m kind of the wheel that keeps everything going. It sounds like we’re a lot a like.
I hate that your last surgery didn’t help. Will they go back in and try to correct it or what is their plan to help you?
Oh my goodness, you’ve been through it girl! Thank you for the great advice Greta. We just moved which I did primarily alone because my husband is working two jobs & now it’s time to figure out where everything goes again. I work full time, watching our grandsons this summer & still trying to process having RA & Fibromyalgia. I’m extremely overwhelmed and tired…. “no” is not an option here & self care is pretty much nonexistent. There just aren’t enough hours in the day. 🙄
