I just started Rinvoq last year in October! Here's a few things about my experience:
- It acts quickly! My doctor estimated a 2-3 week timeframe before I started noticing any differences. It took closer to a month for me, but there was a noticeable change in my colitis and arthritis symptoms.
- It's great at giving you your energy back. I'm much more awake, and I'm able to do more in a day than I was before.
- A weird one: your urine may change color. Specifically, when interacting with toilet bowl cleaners, it can turn pink/red. I was scared and thought it was blood, but noticed it only happened when I used my toilet (which has a bleach tablet in the tank), and found that others experienced the same online.
- Acne.... It's been annoying to say the least. Welly brand blemish patches have been helping me a lot, but I'm considering going to a dermatologist to help manage them. I have had enough skin issues with being on immunosuppressants since I was 12, and I'd like to have clear skin at some point.
- Rinvoq hurts my stomach like hell. This may be something unique to me, my stomach is rather beat up from chemo and chronic Celebrex use, but at somepoint I was missing two days of work a month (and I'm only 30 hours). My doctor gave me Omeprazole (which you could also get over the counter) to take daily and Zofran as needed for nausea. I can now eat at work without throwing up in the staff bathroom after!

It's good to keep in mind that Rinvoq is a VERY new drug---it's incredibly important to track your symptoms. Because of its recent release, AbbVie doesn't have all of the potential symptoms on its website.
