Yep! I was tapering down from 100mg of prednisone. Read that as mean Marcia. I don't remember where I was in tapering. I do remember I was a complete mess. That was my 10 cm PE episode and it was hard to have enough air to sit up straight, I couldn't possibly do the treadmill. Marcia
@A myRAteam Member I had the chemical/nuclear stress test while on low dose steroids. I do not recall if I took my meds morning of the test or held that day til after the test, but definitely had taken the day prior. The ordering physician and/or sometimes the lab doing the test if you can reach them in advance should be able to guide you. I hope it goes well!
Hi Carol2015,I'm pretty certain I had an mri scan while on the tapered cortisone schedule but not a cardiac nuclear test. Better go by what both the involved docs, cardio and rheumatologist advise because they should know best. Might even depend on the dose involved and how desperately the need is for the test. So sorry you are needing more testing but let's pray for good results and we'll be thinking good for your positive out come!
