I take Humira. It's my first drug (I started in 2023). I do like it, but there are just a few problems. First there is the itching at the site. I get about a 3" lump and boy does it itch. The other is that my doctor went from being 14 days apart, to 10 days, to 7 days, and back up to the 10th day. I understand that I may have to do that, but I find it very confusing. Other things are like my nails being vertically ridged and breaking down the middle, but that seems to be RA rather than the medicine. I haven't had a loss in appetite or nausea.

Members have shared varied experiences with Humira. Some report that their bodies may eventually stop responding to the medication after a few years, requiring them to switch to different treatments. This is a normal occurrence that your rheumatologist will monitor.

Common side effects that some members have reported include:
• Loss of appetite
• Mild nausea
• Changes in eating patterns Before starting Humira, it's important to discuss with your rheumatologist:
• Your complete medical history
• Current symptoms
• Other medications you're taking
• Treatment goals
• Monitoring schedule

Remember that everyone responds differently to medications, and what works for one person may not work for another. Regular communication with your healthcare provider about how you're feeling on Humira is essential for managing your treatment effectively.
