Compression gloves help me a lot, reducing the pain & discomfort while still allowing me to use my hands. I have also used the stretchy finger splints that are used for trigger finger. These help if my issue is only in the finger. For example my thumbs will hurt but I do not feel the need for a full glove.

Compression gloves can help reduce pain, stiffness, and swelling in hands affected by RA. They work by applying pressure that helps push out excess fluid and provide support. For best results, they should be worn for at least 8 hours and need to be properly sized to be effective.

Many people find them particularly helpful for:
• Nighttime wear for morning stiffness relief
• Support during typing or daily activities
• Reducing hand swelling
• Providing general comfort and support While compression gloves can provide relief for many, results vary between individuals. Some find immediate comfort, while others may experience discomfort if their hands are severely swollen. It's important to note that while these gloves may help with pain and swelling, research shows limited improvement in hand function and range of motion.

Before trying compression gloves, check with your rheumatologist who can recommend the best type based on your specific needs and symptoms.
