The main difference between regular (seropositive) RA and seronegative RA lies in blood test results. Seropositive RA shows antibodies like rheumatoid factor (RF) or anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) in the blood, while seronegative RA does not. Both types share similar symptoms, such as joint pain and stiffness Show Full Answer
Sero negative makes me feel like I really don’t have it because all 4 of the Rheumatologists I have seen tell me the bloodwork doesn’t show anything. But my ANA was positive and some other speckled test was positive. I was posit for Sjögren but no one ever talks about that. They all said take the meds if it makes you feel better. It’s so discouraging.
