I had a very difficult time on methotrexate. They had originally put me on 6mg, and the level of fatigue and apathy was absolutely horrible. I didn't want to get out of bed. I was just too exhausted. I told my doctor how it was making me feel and they lowered it back down to a small dose and added enbral. After that my fatigue lightened and the apathy went away. The Metho never really did anything for me and I was recently just switched to Arava. If you feel like your memory is not doing good I encourage you to talk to your doctor. You know your body best. And it's important to be our own advocates.

From September 2021 until June 2024.
Nearly three years. I lost a lot of hair.
Also diagnosed this summer with pulmonary fibrosis - pulmonologists not sure if it’s from Methotrexate. So they put a hard stop on it, and I went off of it without taper. I regret not telling my Rheumy about my concerns. I thought hair loss was from Covid and RA. But now, after stopping Methotrexate I have a lot of new hair growing.
It’s a good medication for a lot of people, but not for me.

I had a lot of memory issues while on methotrexate , short term memory issues, but also could not remember names of my pets or people I know, or more commonly call them the wrong name. Still have it but not as bad. Saw neurologist and had multiple MRI head and neck-all normal.
