I’m grateful the doxycycline is helping me I guess.. has any one had Lyme and RA
I had Lyme 13 yrs ago and just a few days ago was bitten by a tick and started on doxycycline. There is a book by Dr Brown who treated RA with antibiotics. I think it's called the road back. There is a website with a list of Dr's who follow his treatment. I read if u have had Lyme u are more likely to get RA. If my symptoms continue to improve I'm going to look into continuing with doxycycline. When I took it for Lyme the first time I Herxed. It's from the bacteria dying off. Glad u r getting some relief from the RA
My sister in-law had gotten lime disease i know that it really affected her. i won't even be able to comprehend having both at the same time. i really hope it all works out sending hugs and prayers to you get better.

That book by Brown is out of date. They don’t treat RA with antibiotics because people have been getting a second autoimmune disease called Lupus. That doc today would be considered a quack and he is dead.
The treatments for RA today are hands down better than this Brown guy proposed over 40 years ago. So people who want to make money off of RA bring the book back and start these antibiotic treatments that are not recommended by the American College of Rheumatology.
Thank you
