I too suffer with RA in my knuckles and have just started wearing compression gloves which I find help a great deal. Am also on Methotrexate and happen to be in my 8th week of taking them too. I take 6 tablets at once. Not sure if it's making much difference but do feel slightly better than before. I think it can take up to 12 weeks to take effect. Some people it's quicker. Depends. For muscle pains in my arms, I take paracetamol. Hope you're finding some relief.

I have tried everything for the muscle cramps that I have in places that I didn't even realize I had muscles, but mainly it is in my feet (nothing scarier than your middle toe being possessed by demons so it sticks straight up!) and in my rear end. About the only relief I have been able to get for them is to get up and walk on them while they're cramping.

I use Arnicare for muscle soreness and to see the healing of bruises. I use Theraworx for actual leg cramps.
I hope this helps.
