I am getting a lot of cramps and painin my muscles lately especially at night. Sometimes it feels like I have been doing a lot of exercise. These cramps are in my feet, toes. Hands, thighs and arms. Iam on meloxicam unicorn 7.5. Is this part of RA
Yes, especially in the feet and hands. I wasn't lucky with magnesium, I tried several forms and I had normal lab results for Magnesium. I get severe muscle cramps especially at night, Meloxicam did not work for me, I've tried approximately 7 different muscle relaxers, because of my vision problems I had to stay with Valium. Stretching is very important to help relieve the muscles from cramping or worse developing Knots and warm to warmer water helps. I have a few they are horribly painful knots. talk with your doctor about the proper stretches or physical therapy, maybe it will help. Best of wishes to you.
Is that the only med your taking? That's just an anti-inflammatory. The aches and pains could very well be RA pains. You might ask your rheumy for other meds to treat the RA not just the inflammation.
The weather makes a difference to me. I have everything you listed. Meloxicam did not work for me. I do agree with what Laurag said. Stretching makes a big difference. I have a paraffin bath. You can use this for your hands & feet. I also use heating pads. Hope this helps!!!
I take extra magnesium and it helps when i get these.
I've never experienced cramps being caused by my RA.
