Nett221, look into a company called Allsup for a disability lawyer. You can find them online. I went with them and I was awarded disability the first time out the door. Good luck and sorry for all you're going through.

I was let go after 25 years working at a hospital here in El Paso, Tx. I was on FLMA for almost a year. Was working 3 days 12 hour shifts. I got tired, my feet and hands hurt. It wasn't fair for me or the patient. Dr put me on disability on. 12/2016. On February 10, 2018 i was terminated. The good thing i had Long Disability Insurance. So i get Disability from work and Social Security.

Depends on your house size. Who helps you when you need help. Who helps you money wise. Do you care for children under 18 years old. What meds are you taking and if they are working. It's a lot of questions. They want to give you less money if they can. Lol

Thank you for sharing with me, I am nervous I will loose job eventually and I want to be prepared. I am a lab technician and also have fmla and reasonable accommodations. It is getting more and more difficult for me.

When i applied for social security it took between 5 to 6 months to start getting a check. That sucked.
