Vectra DA is a blood test that measures 11 different inflammation markers. While it can't be used to diagnose RA, it is used to measure the effectiveness of treatment that you might be on. I get the test every 3 to 6 months to measure inflammation.

My Dr. Used a Special Antibody Test called CCP / C Reactive Protein Antibody Test which is the Most Definitive Test for Inflammatory Conditions. You can read up on the National Institutes of Health website. A little Techy, but explains alot more than our average Doc has time to explain. For example, for that test: the Normal Range is between = 1 - 19. My Number was 94 with significant Joint Damage in many places, Because I was misdiagnosed because the Usual Tests : 1) ANA And 2) RA Factors Tests were ALWAYS NEGATIVE!!
