Hi, I know I have asked about diet before, but could someone please recommend the best website that will give me a good anti inflammatory diet? Also, I went to see a dietician who said she specializes in anti inflammatory diets, and she wanted me to go on a two week cleanse and drink these shakes, and then one meal at dinner, so that I could repair my "leaky gut" that she said is being deemed more and more responsible for RA. I would prefer to start eating better, and to limit sugar and carbs… read more

Members overwhelmingly recommended the Paleo diet as an effective anti-inflammatory approach for managing rheumatoid arthritis, with several sharing that it helped them achieve remission or significant symptom relief when followed consistently. Many members advised against expensive cleanses or restrictive elimination programs, instead suggesting working with insurance-covered nutritionists at hospitals, exploring free online resources like the Paddison Program or Chris Kresser's autoimmune protocol, and focusing on whole, unprocessed foods rather than eliminating entire food groups without clear allergies. A recurring theme was skepticism about the leaky gut theory paired with confidence that cleaner eating can make a real difference, along with practical strategies like keeping a food journal to identify personal triggers and considering blood type analysis to pinpoint individualized dietary sensitivities.

Check out the paleo diet online. For the most part, I have lived on this diet for about 8 years.

Seems kinda late to answer your question, but I don't see that anyone answered you about the cleanse. Yes. And yes, diet is a factor, even if not a cause. Would be open to talking with you or anyone about what we're doing that's working.

I also had my blood type analyzed for diet - avoid - ban - and okay. Incredibly helpful and worth the cost of about $225 in the pain, suffering, and drugs it has saved me. Not broccoli, no cabbage, no white rice, no night shade vegetables... I sometime thought salt was a cause of waking up stiff until I read the results, looked at my journal and saw things like eggplant the night before. Who knew? There are multiple blood types and multiple reasons for variations. Like I said, well worth it.

See if your doctor will give you a referral to see a nutritionist - so that your insurance will cover it. Most hospitals have nutritionists available for one-on-one appointments.

Google "paleo diet and RA". There are tons of success testimonials. I myself have eaten Paleo for about 6 years now. This lifestyle diet put me completely in remission until recently. I fell off the wagon so to speak after a traumatic experience. I am still trying to get it back together and am determined to do it again, after all I know how great it feels to be in remission from eating healthy clean foods. Good luck
