Simponi and cold sores

I woke up with a cold sore this morning. Before I was diagnosed with RA if I had a cold sore I would begin taking Acyclovir immediately.
Is it ok to take now since I am also taking Simponi Aria? I had my first infusion on Oct. 22 and am scheduled for my 2nd on Nov. 19.

I take Humira and my doctor gives me Acyclovir for cold sores. I now eat a gluten free diet and do not get them anymore, before, I had them all of the time.

Since you're taking an immunosuppressant medication you should contact your primary care or rheumatologist to be sure.
