I've been on Arava for 7 months now, and so far it works, at least my rhuemy thinks so. I am still exhausted all the time and in pain. Methotrexate made me sick to my stomach. I haven't had any side affects, but I am experiencing hair loss, I am wondering if it is the Arava doing that.

I've been on Arava for two years now. I also take a biologic. The only side effect I have noticed is loose bowel movements. I keep plenty of immodium around and I'm fine. Sorry if TMI, but thought you might want to know.

Well now that I have read a few other reviews my hair broke off thinned out thought but b12 def have been taking shots of that for a year been on Arava and noticed my hair doing it again. I go back to ra dr next week. So far nothing has worked either made nd sick or just to many side effects for me My hands hurt the worse if I had to pick

When Methotrexate was not cutting by itself. My labs were still a mess and my hands & feet swollen. He discussed it with me first so we decided together.. I started with Enbrel. Back then it was mostly the only one for home use. It worked well for a while but had to changed before finally getting Rituxin infusions. That helped and wish I could still get them. Medicare doesn't cover enough of the cost for infusions. Orencia is what I use now, the home injections. If you feel you are not improving ask your doc about adding a biologic. Good luck ;))
