I have experienced that my fingertips loose sensation after they were exposed to cold, ie. I took food out of the fridge or freezer. It will lasts for around 2 days. In very cold weather it will also happen. I have no sensation on my finger tips and it feels very weird. My GP once mentioned that I may have Raynaud's (about two years ago). The only real solution I have now is wearing gloves when I work in the fridge or freezer and hold my hands right in front of a heater afterwards
