Well, if you have insurance thatt will cover the GLP-1, you can get it from Weight Watchers. That's where I get mine because everything is online so I don't have to worry about going to more appointments. Have they given a reason for not wanting to give it to you? I would ask your rheumy. I bet they would do it. Mine was happy to know that I made that leap on my own.

My GP will not prescribe it to me so I am going to keep asking until she's tired of answering and I'm going to start asking all my other doctors I think it will help with my RA I'm hoping and it definitely will help with my weight

Thanks for the info. My primary doctor was unable to get my insurance to approve. I am going to speak with my rheumatologist about it.

I take GLP-1. I've been on it for over a year now. I started taking it because I figured that the extra weight was part of what was making my hips hurt so bad (this was also before I got a diagnosis). I lost about 35 pounds, but it had no positive or negative effect on my hips. I still feel the same as I did when I started the GLP-1. But I did knock my weight down, so it wasn't for nothing. Now I am at a healthy weight.
