I bought my tens units on Amazon. They are not expensive and it's well worth the price. I mostly use it on my nerve damaged arm. But I sometimes use it in my back and neck. They definitely hurt so good! 😊
Thanks so much for your answer, Greta, I never thought about at a local medical shop or pharmacy. I’ll check them out. Today at my PT appointment their TENS unit felt so good. I had them crank it up as far as they’re allowed to do. I told them it hurt so good! After a while, it was just so soothing that I decided to try to get my own. My therapist said the ones they use are considered the “Roll-Royce” of machines and most of the online ones were more like “VW bugs.” 🤣 He said they’d still give me some relief though, so I thought I might as well give one a try.
There is not a specific brand that does a better job. I have two. One I bought online. The other the surgery center put on my shoulder when it was done. You will have to move the pads where you think that you need it. It will give you an idea of placement in the instructions . Start out at a lower setting to figure out what you can tolerate. If I’m having a lot of pain, I just leave the pads on and snap the wires back on when I need it. I measure where the pain is. I’m usually about right. Most of my pain right now is my upper back and neck. You can buy the Tens unit at local pharmacies, online and medical supply stores. The price is cheaper online. Good luck.
