Sorry guys, I haven’t been on here in a while. I’ve had insomnia for about 20 years now so I reached out to a caregiver and she told me to do some research on grounding sheets, they have a silver thread going through them and it’s supposed to help you with sleeping, inflammation and aches and pains. They also gave me for free as sheet pad that she could plug in and it’s supposed to be good if people have neuropathy in their feet. Now I did my research on it, and I bought a set from Bare Earth. It is only actually the fitted sheet, and it actually has a plug that plugs into the grounding outlet in the wall or on his power strip. I was using CBD gummy’s to sleep, but because of my gastroparesis or slow emptying of my stomach I had to quit the gummy‘s. But also at the same time, my G.I. doubled my magnesium to help me sleep better at night. The fitted sheet cost about $185 but I can’t really say if it totally helps or not. It’s definitely not as comfortable as my regular sheets. I hope this helps!

Paula, I asked this question last week. But I asked who had used them. They have silver in the thread count. Different brands different percentage of silver. They are supposed to help pain and fatigue. When I asked people either didn't know about them or they use them and can see some difference. If you look at my posts or questions. One told me what brand they used.
I hope your doing well my friend! ❤️🙏

Are there benefits of grounding/earthing sheets for rheumatoid arthritis?

Grounding or earthing sheets aren't currently covered in available research specific to RA, so it's hard to give a confident answer on their effectiveness. The idea behind earthing is that connecting to the earth's natural electric charge may reduce inflammation, but clinical evidence for RA specifically is very limited.

If inflammation relief is the goal, there are some better-studied natural and complementary approaches worth exploring with a doctor, such as:

- Warm baths with Epsom salt or Dead Sea salt, which some research suggests may help with morning stiffness and grip strength
- Topical capsaicin for localized pain relief
- Curcumin (turmeric) as an anti-inflammatory addition to diet
- Acupuncture, which some myRAteam members have found helpful for pain management
- Tai chi, a gentle low-impact movement practice

Before trying grounding sheets or any new complementary therapy, it's always a good idea to check in with a rheumatologist. They can help weigh any potential benefits against risks and make sure it fits safely alongside existing RA treatments.
