It's been so hard to determine what is what these days. Now I'm getting evening fevers (not quite 100) with all the body aches, etc. I feel as if I'm falling apart and my body rebelling

That sounds really frustrating, especially when a previous injury seems to keep making itself known. What you're experiencing is not unusual for someone with RA.

RA-related inflammation can affect muscles and surrounding tissues, meaning areas that were previously injured may be more sensitive — especially during a flare. Pain that worsens after sitting for long periods is also a recognized pattern with RA.

A few things worth knowing:

- RA flares increase overall inflammation in the body, which can amplify pain in vulnerable areas like a previously injured groin
- Prolonged sitting can cause stiffness and achiness to build up, which is common with RA
- The hip and groin area is a region that RA can affect, and pain there can feel dull and achy, often worsening after rest or extended sitting It's worth bringing this up with your rheumatologist, especially since it's been going on for several months. They can help determine whether the ongoing achiness is related to your RA activity, the original injury, or both — and suggest the right treatment approach for you.
