@A myRAteam Member I've been on it since being diagnosed in October 2024 & it has been helping me a lot. I was taking 3 pills twice a day & recently moved up to 4 pills twice a day because I've starting having some frequent flare-ups again & I'm hoping that it will help so that I won't need to switch to Hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) & have to stop taking either the Sulfasalazine or my Luflonomide as you can only be on 2 conventional DMARDS with a Biologic & I'm also on the Orencia IV infusion Biologic. Your pee will be orange which is a little weird is totally but normal. I had some stomach upset when taking it at first: feeling too full after eating & some bloating but I increased my Folic Acid from 1mg to 4mg a day per my Rheumatologist & those symptoms/side effects went away & it actually also seems to help my IBS too. Hoping you'll have good results with the Sulfasalazine.
Have you had success with sulfasalazine for your RA?
Sulfasalazine is a conventional DMARD that many people use to manage their rheumatoid arthritis. Some myRAteam members have found it helpful, especially when combined with other medications.
