I am newly diagnosed and have my bad days with pain, but even my good days are not 💯 like I was before the diagnosis. Should I try new meds?
That's been the case for me since day one. If it's impacting your mental well-being, then I'd recommend finding a pain management team, physical therapist, or mental health professional who's trained in EMDR and chronic pain. The latter two have helped me get through the day-to-day exhaustion, but I also use alternative meds to help. Recently, I've tried Low Dose Naltrexone, and it's been helping a lot with the generalized pain. Hope this helps, and shoot me a message if you have questions :)
Hi Mindy. Nice to meet you. Honestly, I don't know the answer to your question. My meds seem to have the RA relatively well controlled. However, I'm not back to baseline. I don't ever feel as well as I did before I began having symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. I know that after trying and failing several medications, I feel the best that I have since this whole thing started. I'm thankful to not be in terrible pain like I have been in the past. I'd love to hear other people's experience with this issue. I wish you well and hope you feel better, healthier and stronger soon. 🙂
Thanks for your response. It’s hard to know what is expected.
My medications have reduced my pain quite a bit but I always have some level of pain or have symptoms of this disease every day which has drastically changed my life in so many ways.
Thanks. I appreciate your input.
