I am now on Methrotexate and Humira. I am usually doing well. My disease activity has decreased to low, however it does not count my feet, which more or less still hurt almost every day. My doctor thinks I seem to be close to “remission”. Good days and bad days, is this what remission will look like?

Remission to me is when there is no pain or fatigue. The drugs are doing the job when you are pain free. There could be insignificant flare ups depending on humid or damp weather and stress.

I seem to have this same feeling. There might be an "almost there" status, and I am so grateful to be so much better. But I get frustrated at times. My fear is that I will have to establish a new normal.

I am sorry, but what is remission? I have been on Humira and Methotrexate for about 2 years now and I still have trouble. That is why I am switching to Enbrel. I have this feeling tho, that there are No cures, remission doesn't exist and pain paired with lethargy is the new norm. Medicines are only temporary band-aids.

What type of arthritis do you have? I have rheumatoid arthritis. It causes: chronic pain, Chronic fatigue, Irritibal Bowel Syndrome, etc . I am not aware of a cut for any kind of arthritis. My doctored seem to help me manage my RA & Fibromyalgia. I have been dealing with this for 27 years!!! Hope this helps!!!
