Ann, I'm going to go out on a limb and say, for some, yes, maybe there will be long term health issues. It's not impossible. For me personally? I've been on methotrexate for about four years now and it works great for me. At this point in time, I am willing to take my chances on my long term health, considering that this drug has my inflammation at normal levels and that means less cancer, less heart issues.... the list is really worthwhile.
