Thank you for your reply and for sharing. A recent knee MRI shows specific inflammation so we know the current medication isn't working enough. I am also learning that this is definitely a different journey for all. I am an avid exerciser (just ran my second marathon within the last two years) and have been eating healthy my entire life. I won't know until I try it is my attitude at this time.

I was told it could take up to 6 months for the Hydroxychloroquine to even start working. I have changed my diet drastically and that has eased my symptoms a lot. I even reduced my dosage with my weight loss and lessened pain. We are all different from what I've learned since my diagnosis, but my first thought was you might want to give it longer before starting something new. I'm just very weary of taking prescriptions and am doing what I can to avoid them. An anti-inflammatory diet and getting regular exercise has helped me a lot.

Thank you for sharing. I appreciate it. I cannot take steroid as it aggravates my bladder too much. So are you on the Enbrel as well as the methotrexate? Does that seem to help?

I see it from both sides I have experienced it too, one the medication is not real healthy, and the disease is systemic and is hurting the body, the medication is turtle slow to work.

I started on hydroxychloroquine 400mg I think for 4-5 months it did help with headlight glare with driving at night, that’s exactly what I told my rheumatologist.

I’ve been taking methotrexate for 18-19 months from 7.5mg to 17.5mg I never did find remission all of this while taking prednisone for flares only.

Now I’m on Enbrel 50mg as well started 2 weeks ago and coming off of prednisone for a flare.

Maybe with this combination of medication it will stop or slow it way down.

Sure I do the golimumab infusions the first two infusions were one month apart. Now I get infusion every 2 months. That's it for now. Take off lefludomide due to liver enzymes.
