I'm on Arava now. I started it 3 months ago. I haven't had any side effects, at least any that I have noticed. It seems to be helping me and I am feeling pretty good these days. It replaced plaquenil. Make sure you have blood work done while on Arava. My last appointment showed my liver count was up so if it continues to rise, then my doctor will have to lower my dosage.

I'm taking Enbrel and doc just added this in lieu of Methotrexate. I had horrible side effects from mtx and so far so good with Arava! How's it been going for you?

I took Arava but had to stop, to many side effects for me. I am sure there are others it has worked for though. We are each so different with the reactions we experience with these drugs My reactions were nausea, diarreah, tiredness and vomiting. I guess the only way to know is to try it. Hugs

I took Arava for a year , I'm really not sure how much help it was , but I did have hair loss , so I added biotin , which really helped with that . My rhemy said to stop Arava , I'm on Embrel now and that has really helped me .
