I sure hope you get a better rheumatologist! I see one in Grand Rapids (Dr. Zleik) and she is with Corewell Health and has been proactive in my treatments. she listens to me and has been trying different treatments with me and i have only been with her for one year!

Yes, request an appointment online. They will call you to give you an interview to see if they help. Once that’s determined, they will schedule an appointment for you.

If you're feeling uncertain about your current care, seeking a second opinion is completely normal and can help provide peace of mind. Many people seek additional opinions when they aren't getting the help they need from their current doctor.

Consider these steps:
- Ask your primary care doctor for referrals to other specialists
- Check with your insurance provider about coverage for second opinions
- Look into virtual consultation options, which many major hospitals now offer When seeking a new rheumatologist, look for someone specifically trained to detect symptoms in earlier stages of RA. This expertise can help get you on track with more effective treatment.

Remember that you know your body best. If you're not feeling heard or getting the care you need, it's appropriate to explore other options. Many insurance providers cover second opinions, so check with your insurance representative about coverage before paying out of pocket.
