A 2018 study found that baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) may have anti-inflammatory properties, which has led some people with RA to consider trying it. While some myRAteam members have asked about this remedy, there isn't enough scientific evidence yet to confirm if it safely helps alleviate RA symptoms. Always consult with your healthcare team before starting any new treatments, including home remedies like baking soda. They can help evaluate whether this option would be safe given your specific medication regimen and overall health situation.
