If you're feeling unwell, such as experiencing chills or other symptoms of illness, it's important to contact your doctor before making any changes to your methotrexate treatment. Methotrexate can suppress your immune system, increasing your risk of infections. I would contact your specialist before making any changes to the weekly methotrexate as that could and/or will cause trouble to your RA situation. Speaking with your doctor is the best safety move you can do in my opinion. It is always a good idea to keep your specialist up to date when there is a health concern taking place. I hope you are feeling well soon.
