Members shared widely varied experiences with post-infusion side effects, with some reporting only mild tiredness or headaches for a day or two after Remicade, Rituxan, or Orencia, while others described fatigue, nausea, and weakness lasting up to five days, particularly with Renflexis. Several members offered practical strategies including taking Zofran for nausea, eating a light snack before infusions and a full meal afterward, using ginger drops to ease stomach upset, and working with doctors to adjust dosages or switch medications when side effects became too severe. A recurring theme was the reality that every body responds differently to biologics, with members encouraging each other to keep searching for the right medication and dose, as finding one that works can be truly life-changing despite the trial-and-error process.

Only for a day or so sfterthe Remicade Infusion (very 4 weeks). I get more side effects from MTX injection (weekly). A Zofran helps with that.

I am taking Simponi (Golimumab) as a biological treatment and I do not get any side effects at all. It is also a very easy self-inject pen and at least for me no pain at all from the injection.
