I live in Bucks County, outside of Philly. Anyway, anyone else feeling the pressure on their lungs with this heat and air quality? I am considering requesting to telework for this period. Am I being too sensitive?
You are NOT being too sensitive. Breathing is life. If you are having breathing issues, talk to your doctor. Could just be environmental, but be be more. They may want to do a pulmonary function test and lung xray. RA can cause interstitial lung damage, that can go unnoticed without a chest xray. Mine is monitored every six months.
Absolutely
McCoye's: please heed our advice. A small fan can help ease your breathing as well. If you can work from home please do. Our breathing can be effected quickly and can land you in the hospital. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease 5 years ago due to my RA. I am on 3 liters of oxygen 24/7 now. I also have liver disease and my enzymes are not working in my pancreas. I take artificial enzymes 4 times a day. I know I'm getting worse but I fight this everyday. My motto is "if I can do it today, I can do it over tomorrow." I refuse to quit. I'm going to keep going for my son, grandchildren and great grandchildren. I refuse to leave this world before my time! Friends, fight, fight and fight everyday!
Thank you for the suppprt and guidance!
