Thank you for your suggestions. I thought I was drinking enough water, plus I take magnesium pills and use magnesium sea oil at night. I also wear compression stocking since I’ve had breast cancer. I will start a journal and see where that leads me. Thank you.

Leg cramps can indeed be a side effect of methotrexate, a common medication used to treat rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Here are some recommendations for managing leg cramps:

- Stretching Your Muscles: Stretch both before and after physical activity. If cramps occur at night, try stretching or lightly exercising before bed.
- Staying Hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids to prevent muscle spasms and cramps.
- Heat Therapy: For immediate relief, try using hot compresses.

If you're unsure whether your leg cramps are related to methotrexate or another issue, it's best to consult your doctor. They can help determine the cause and suggest appropriate management strategies.

Leg cramps can be a medication side effect, such as Methotrexate.
I found that stretching my legs just before bed did help. And I discovered I wasn't drinking enough water. You should aim for >90 oz daily.
In the past I also found that it was, for me, connected to not getting enough fat in my diet and not enough of a certain vitamin.
There's many things it could be so you just have to journal and rule them out one by one.
