Jamie, I would try another med for sure. I personally, did horrible on the MTX, both tablets and injections. I can say that I honestly felt worse on that drug. Much better now, thank the good Lord!

Thank you for that! It feels like I'm losing my mind (brain fog) and my energy level plummeted. 4 months on mtx now. They want me to try Enbrel....🤔

MTX increased my fatigue and brain fog exponentially. After 3 months on it we moved on to something else. It wasn’t worth it for me.

I had severe fatigue prior to taking MTX but it was even worse on it. Felt nauseous, had chills, dark circles under my eyes and my nails were brittle. It raised my liver enzymes so I was taken off it and felt so much better. That stuff was harsh

I suffered the same with MTX, both in the pill and injection form. I can honestly say that I feel better with no MTX at all. I am now on Leflunomide and Hydroxyquinone and feel much better with less pain and swelling. I hear many folks say that MTX does well for them. I was certainly not one of those. My Rheumy said that I certainly did give it my best try, prob close to 5-6 months, between the pill and injection. I was miserable the entire time, with vomiting, etc.
