I have been using castor oil for my nodules specifically as well as pain and inflammation on different parts of my body from my RA. Over a period of about 6 months my nodules on the bottom of my feet are starting to dry up from the use of the castor oil.

It sounds like you're going through a challenging time with your hand condition. If the lump on your hand is related to rheumatoid arthritis, it could be a rheumatoid nodule, which is a common manifestation in people with RA. These nodules can sometimes occur in areas subject to pressure, such as the hands. It's good that you're under a doctor's care, and they have a plan in place. Surgery, like tendon surgery, is considered when other treatments haven't provided relief or if there's significant damage that needs repair. Remember, it's important to follow your doctor's advice and also consider seeking a second opinion if you have concerns about the proposed treatment. Take care of yourself and don't hesitate to reach out for support from friends, family, or online communities who understand what you're going through.
