Hi, I was diagnosed with zero positive RA 2.5 years ago at 60. I tried hydroxychloroquine, then added methotrexate. Changed to Humira and now Embrell. My RA is still active and my Dr mentioned 2 alternative treatments Reinvoq or Rituxan infusions. Can any body share your experiences with any of these 2 drugs? I would love to stop the pain, if that is possible.

I had the 2 rituximab infusions in July and August. It can take 3-6 months for it to really kick in. I have seen some improvement in my breathing, but joints are still an issue, so I’m on prednisone still. Back to rheum and pulmonologist late March.

Thank you for your answer. I do not go into the website very often. I am now in Reinvoq and it is helping but I was still in pain, so my reumathologist added duloxetine 30 mg. It is better now but not 100%.

If you can get Rinvoq try it. I've been so lucky on it.

Nubia2, I tolerated rituximab well. I did have just a little hair loss and was a little tired for a couple days. I’m still having joint pain when I tried to wean off prednisone though. Slightly helped my breathing.
