My primary pain is in my hands, wrists, ankles, and feet. I was diagnosed with RA in 2020. When I get up in the morning I can hardly stand or walk due to severe pain. After normal activity it gets a little better. I had been wearing house slippers around the house and wondering if I need to wear a more supportive shoe and also want suggestions on a good walking shoe for someone with RA. Thanks
KURU is an awesome brand of shoes for people with RA. They also offer house slippers. There well worth the cost!
Hi, I am still searching for the perfect shoe as well. I take time to do repetitive foot exercise (elevated foot flexing, rotating arch movements, etc.) during am before I get out of bed especially when there is stiffness in joints. I prefer to wear crocs during most of the day and when I go out I tend to wear some form of mid heel shoe such as skechers, platform heels, and aerosoles. Insoles are useful at times also. In addition, if it's a work day I apply vapor rub to entire foot before putting on socks. Hope this helps.
Thanks so much for all of the advice. I am willing to try all of these to get rid of this pain. Have a great week!
