I was fine and healthy...I am 73 years old. I had both Pfizer vaccines and had a severe reaction to the 2nd vaccine. about 7 months later, I had to get a T-dap vaccine and hours afterward, I developed sudden and severe joint pain in my feet and hands. it is 8 months since the T-dap and I cant use my fingers and the joint pain is severe and migratory...and unceasing. my rheumatologist and internist both agree that one or both of the vaccines activated a severe auto-immune issue. I cant believe what has happened....I cant write any longer and have difficulty even picking up a piece of paper. I think they dont know everything about the vaccines...strange things happen. just try to be thankful and take one day at a time.

I am taking plaquenil and prednisone. Have had 4 shots, no problem. Where are you reading this?

Understand your anxiety but I’d encourage you to resist the urge to get a booster. If you get covid you will recover, but if you have an allergic reaction which messes up your immune system you may not. I have itp and did not take warning seriously. The result was a year of illnesses due to an overreactive immune system culminating in RA. If you already have RA it can make RA worse. the long term effects of this new type of vaccine are not yet reported. You can always wear your mask and have guests take covid test before they are with you.

I am 71 and have been on Prednisone since I was a toddler. 3 of my doctors encouraged me to take the vaccines because of my COPD and overall health and I decided on Moderna and haven't had a reaction, but everyone is different, as are the shots.
