Trying to figure out if I should spend $500 on orthotics made for my feet or just get new shoes that are $180. I have achy feet and knees. Are orthotics worth it?!

I have had custom orthotics for years now, and can't imagine daily life without them! They took some getting used to for the first few days, but after that, my feet have felt almost pain free, unless I have to stand for a very long time. If you see a podiatrist, insurance may help cover some of the cost. I also wear only APMA approved slippers. My favorite brand is Vionic.

I’m seeing a podiatrist on the 19th . I can’t walk without wearing wide cushioned shoes. The bottoms of my feet hurt badly

I hate to say by the time I went to check them out and buy some it was to late for me. They liked to kill my feet. I could not use them. So I just wasted my money and my time.

The only shoes I've been able to wear lately are my old skechers. I've had them for over 12 years.
