Has anyone been diagnosed on or around the age of 70? Would love to hear your story. I am 70 and was just diagnosed.

Hi, same meds I started with in 2017, sulfasalazine, methtrexate, folic acid and meloxicam. I do have to take iron pill otc due to low iron. I have flair ups from time to time. Hands and feet are only affected so far. I'm on older meds, but so far doing ok. Rhuemo wanted to go slow due to my age. Time will tell.

Thank you!! I will be 71 in March. Are you comfortable telling me your med? I know everyone is different...I also hope I am not being too intrusive by asking. I am still trying to decide what to do.

I was diag with RA 67. I'm now 71, the pain was horrific, took about a month until I saw rhuemo. Just one day woke up and my hand fingers wrist in pain and swollen, wk later opposite hand same thing. Only medicine im on is for my RA. What a shock when I was diagnosed with it. I'm doing ok with meds, but some days I'm miserable. Hope you handle this ok, I just try to keep active.
