Everyone is different and reacts differently to different meds. I was never on Humira but I've been on Enbrel, Xeljanz, Actemra, Orencia and Arava. I just started on Rinvoq a month ago. For me, Enbrel, Actemra and Orencia made me much worse, especially the Enbrel. Xeljanz and Arava did absolutely nothing for me after four months on each. I'm not sure if I can keep taking the Rinvoq because my symptoms are much worse. I never tried Humira, though I'd be willing to give it a try at this point. The reason I was not put on it at the begining is that it is the same class as methotrexate and when I tried that many years ago for my lupus it made me much worse, like the Enbrel did.

For all of these, I was told to give it three months to see if it helped or not. The need to build up in your system. Sometimes the benefits are not really known until you go off of it.

Humira worked for me a couple hours after the first use, took away all the pain. Good luck with Xeljanz, I have not tried it, keep us updated!

i was on Enbrel for over 17 years. It worked fine. Then i heard about Humira - that it does not burn when injecting, and it is taken every other week - thought i'd try it.... after 9 months, i am going back to Enbrel. Humira did not help much at all.
