I'm very concerned. I was an RN for 30 yrs. I'm no infection control nurse but I know enough about this situation and having RA to be scared. Unfortunately stress increases my symptoms so I'm in more pain. I tried to buy a normal amt of hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes on Amazon tonight and thry are sold out so obviously I'm not the only one worried.
I only truly think about COVID when I have to put a mask on to go into a store or restaurant. In this area, once you sit down at your table in a restaurant, you can take your mask off. Perhaps I should be more concerned, but (thankfully) I don’t know anyone who died, & of the 4 people I know who caught it, 2 went in the hospital & only 1 went on a ventilator. I do take Methotrexate, & my rheumatologist would probably prefer if I stayed home, but life goes on. Going to visit my niece & family in NJ for 2 weeks at Thanksgiving. Going to WI for a week at Christmas to see daughter & her family (flying). I will mask & social distance. I can’t wait til I can get the vaccine!!
They have these things called phone cleaners. You place your phone in it or keys etc and close it and ultraviolet lights kill the germs. I got one from qvc . It also charges yiur phone at the same tome.
Raymond babysits our granddaughter. He is her only day care. Our daughter depends on him so she can work. All I can do is make sure he uses good hand washing techniques that I use to teach to my nursing staff during flu outbreaks. Id rather he'd stay home but this is not possible. How can cell phones be cleaned with bleach that actually kills everything including HIV. ? SamH do you know ?
Scary! I'm staying home as much as possible for now.
