I was just diagnosed in July of this year. My flares and pain went from once in a while to now constant pain of some kind every day. For the last week I’ve had severe shoulder pain where I can’t lift my arm without extreme discomfort. Also when laying down at night to try and sleep my arm gets numb. Anyone ever experience this?

Exactly! My husband looked at me like I was crazy. No one in my family understands. No one has an auto- immune disease either.
Please work with h your rheumatologist to find the right medication regimen that works for you. Each of us have found different meds that work well but you are a unique being.

Sounds like a pinched nerve in your shoulder. See a orthopedic MD. I had the same problem,received cortisone shot which helped.
Thank You I’m having a hard time lifting my arms but I am doing some exercises that gets them up a little further each time without so much pain I have this habit of tightening up everything hoping it won’t hurt bad idea. Learning more and more everyday
