@A myRAteam Member, I have added you to my team.
I think fatigue and depression go hand in hand, so does RA and fatigue and depression.
Depression can cause changes in sleeping patterns, either not being able to sleep or sleeping more than usual.
From my experience RA and depression can both cause fatigue.
But of course sleeping all day doesn't help depression or RA, but getting enough sleep is important. Finding the right balance is very difficult.
I hope that this information is helpful.
Everything that you’re going through so have I. I’m seeing a therapist and it really helps to talk to someone. This RA is a life changing event that no one can understand unless they experience it. I’ve gotten a new bed hoping it helps my sleep and restlessness 🥺 The bed is great and I really like it but the disease is just what it is. Dis ease. We understand and you’re not going crazy, you’re going through a life changing event that you have to deal with on a daily bases. I’m experiencing ear infections, sinus infections and sore throats worst than ever. Continue to deal with Life one day at a time and you will make it through. My Prayers go out to each of you and is fighting to endure Life one day at a time 🙏🏼
I'm with you all, can't get to sleep. Along with the RA pain I have RLS. These legs do the cha-cha all night, which hurts my hips. Only thing that helps is 12-16mg ropinirole, but my MD will only prescribe 8mg. So I've added a Benadryl to my regime. I did take a muscle relaxer (left from my sciatica) and it helped. But I don't want to get hooked on them.
I have trouble falling asleep. Usually around midnight or two. Set alarm for 7:30 but go back to sleep till 9 or 10. Can’t get going till late afternoon like 4 or 5. Fatigue & or depression . Can’t get motivated or my sleep hours to better time like 9 pm to 7:30am. I like getting up early getting housework done then do sewing etc . Maybe take it easy. Don’t like to nap but lately I fall asleep easy and sleep hours. Which makes it hard to sleep at night. I’m frustrated
