Does anyone use meclizine to counteract dizziness from their Methotrexate? My doctor said I could give it a shot, but I hate the idea of taking even more medication! Any other suggestions?
If she recommended the meclazine...give it a try! Side effects usually suddide over 10-12 weeks.
Side effects of Methotrexate usually subsided in about 10-12 weeks. Meclazine is good with inner ear.... are you keeping check on your blood pressure....too low or high can cause dizziness.
Yes all the time. I just deal with it.
I have only had 2 doses of MTX. After the first dose I missed a half day of work because by the afternoon (of the day after) I was so dizzy I couldn't see straight...didn't drive for 2 days. My rheumy cut my next dose to 4 pills (from 6) and had me add an antihistamine. I had less dizziness afterwards but still didn't drive today. I go up to 5 pills next week, and she mentioned the meclizine to help with the side effects. Do they normally get better on their own?
Anyone dealing with random dizziness? Standing up, sitting down, it doesn't matter. It just hits you all of the sudden.
I have several issues I need help with to see if they are RA related & if any of you experience(d) these & what you do/did about them.
