I've taken methotrexate, sulfasalazine and had infusions on top of it. Found a different Rhuematogist went in a new direction for treatment. I now take Xeljanz. Its 1 tablet a day. A little bit of a battle with insurance but after a terrific note from the doc I am good. I still have my moments especially when it's cold and/or raining (dry heat climate definitely works well and makes me feel like a rockstar) but I have found I can do more now with this new med.

"Rheumatoid arthritis causes chronic inflammation that affects not only the joints but other organ systems, too. One of the lesser-known symptoms of the condition is brain fog. Many people with rheumatoid arthritis, or RA, report having trouble thinking clearly, problems with memory, and difficulty concentrating".
copied from Google.

I had a very stressful time that took a good bit of my mental capacity. I have learned to avoid stressful situations the hard way. Avoid stress, forgive everyone, including myself, and think on good things only. It helps our brains get better.

I could not function last Sunday. Such a bad migraine , dizzy, and tired, up set stomach, Dripping sweat. What a terrible morning. I had to stay in bed until noon. After taking 2 extra streangth Tylenol, I was able to get up and take my other Meds with food. I wonder if the RA was attacking my brain. It was awful, I’m not use to having headaches. Is this typical of RA?

I am so happy you finally are feeling back to normal!
None of the commercialized biologicals have worked for me including Xeljanze.
Isn't it odd that some work for some but not others with RA? The whole thing is so confusing!
Why do some work for some people? What is in the crap?
Stopped the Xeljanze last Tuesday & now I have to start infusion treatment (Acterma) this Thursday. Scared but what can I do? I need to make this pain stop! At my wits end.
