You're not alone. When I found out I had RA my flare up was the worst I have experienced. I couldn't open the fridge or a car door. I had to use my forearms to push a shopping cart. Low and behold I found out that a medicine I take for epilepsy is also used for nerve pain which I took for 17 years. It masked my RA and I found out later than normal. But hopefully your doctor can find the right regime that will help elevate the pain. I'm not sure what state you are in But maybe look into medical marijuana. It really helps. Also cbd oil was a life saver for me.

Oh please don't beat yourself up. We live in a world where we think it should be perfect, in fact we live in a world where their is pain and suffering, it is a fallen world. This is a real disease, talk to your doctor, and maybe you need a 2nd opinion different meds maybe.

RA runs ine the family. There are about 5 to 6 immune related diseases with RA. Your sons and daughters should be checked for RA. So the progession of joint deformation doesn't go so far. Soft hugs

Oh honey don't blame yourself. Thousands of intelligent educated reseachers all over the world can't come up with an answer. In my case a minor little pen placed in my pointer finger caused a horrendous two year flare its different for everyone.
Doctors believe I had it for decades I thihk youth, exercise and healthy eating only postponed the inevitable .Hope your on a Biologic. Remember every body is different as is the disease.πŸ’žπŸ’•

I think about this question A LOT! Was I that bad of a kid to get this curse; did some motor accident I've been in from the past start this crazy panick attack (inflammation) inside my body that just wont end? Geez. On the bright side, SALxo, they say what doesnt kill ya makes ya stronger! Think about how high our pain tollerance is compared to others. I also like to think that us warriors are more grounded in that we dont take things for granted but we do take advantage of our good days. Take care! Huggs
