My sister insists that I can apply for PIP in UK as I have RA. Even though I work full time additional financial support would be useful due to increased cost of heating in cold weather, complimentary treatment, expensive footwear and special diet.
Thanks
I claimed PIP when I was living in UK. I worked 30 hrs per week in retail. My claim was rejected after I had the assessment (a one on one interview with an assessor)
However, I appealed the decision and was eventually awarded PIP at lower rate.
It seems that most people’s claim is rejected in the first instance and you need to be strong and definitely appeal to get what you deserve.
Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to reduce your hours and claim working tax credits to make up the difference. This will obviously depend on whether you have a partner and what their income level is.
Good luck, working with RA is a real struggle, one which I am still battling.

Hi all,
Wanted to thank all those of you who replied and gave me such useful advice. Much appreciated. Wishing you a pain free or as pain free possible day 😊👍
Go to citizens advice they have a book that helps with every answer asked. I had no problem at all. The lady that helped me was a retired barrister. Expert advice is the key to avoiding the red tape.
